Question 1

What SMS safeguards are included?

Accepted Answer

GemReach provides purpose-specific consent records, automatic STOP/START handling, a timestamped audit trail, quotas, and recipient-local quiet hours. Merchants remain responsible for their message content and applicable legal obligations.

Question 2

Do I get a new phone number?

Accepted Answer

GemReach currently provisions a dedicated US toll-free SMS/MMS number. Toll-Free Verification must be approved before live texting.

Question 3

Do I need Shopify?

Accepted Answer

No. You can create a standalone account without Shopify, or install GemReach from the Shopify App Store to connect your Shopify store. Shopify installation syncs customers, orders, and product information. Live texting requires approved merchant SMS setup and client consent on either route.

Question 4

How is this different from Clientbook or Podium?

Accepted Answer

GemReach is jewelry-specific, with ring sizes, wishlists, important dates, a daily follow-up list, campaigns, and two-way texting. Clientbook and Podium use quote-based pricing on their current public pages; compare each vendor's current terms directly.

Question 5

What happens if I use all my texts?

Accepted Answer

All outbound SMS/MMS pauses when the monthly allowance is reached. Upgrade through Shopify or wait for the monthly reset; inbound messages and your data remain available.

Question 6

What happens after my trial?

Accepted Answer

Your trial and subscription are managed by Shopify. You can change plans or switch to the permanent Free plan in Shopify and export your clients from GemReach.

Question 7

Who owns my client data?

Accepted Answer

You can export your client book to CSV or JSON at any time. GemReach does not sell personal data; vetted service providers process only what is needed to operate the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Question 8

What's your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first invoice. If GemReach isn't right for your store, email support@gemreach.app and we'll refund it.

Question 9

Can my whole team use it?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Starter includes 3 associate seats and Pro includes 10, with roles for owners, managers, and staff. We never charge per seat.

Question 10

Who's behind GemReach, and how do I get help?

Accepted Answer

GemReach is built by JMS Dev Lab, the studio behind Jewelry Studio Manager, Jewel Value, and StaffHub. Email support@gemreach.app — a real person answers within one business day.

Question 11

Do my clients need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

No. Your clients just get normal text messages from your store's number and reply like they would to a friend. Nothing to install, ever.
