A plain answer
How can a jewelry store text customers when a repair or special order is ready?
Short answer: Log the repair or special order against the client, move it through received, in progress and ready, then send a one-tap "ready to collect" text that records who was told. GemReach does this with consent and quiet hours checked. It is a status list, not full repair ticketing.

How it works in GemReach
- Log a repair or special order against a client with a description, an envelope or ticket reference and a promised date.
- Move it through received, in progress, ready and collected.
- When it is ready, send the "ready to collect" text in one tap. GemReach records who has been told, so the team does not text twice or forget.
- The text passes the same check as every other message: recorded consent, STOP/START status, the monthly text allowance and quiet hours in the client's timezone.
What it does not do
- It does not produce intake dockets or job envelopes, estimates, pricing or workshop routing.
- It is not a point-of-sale system.
- Live texting works only for clients in the United States and Canada, after the store's toll-free number passes carrier verification.
Which one fits
If you need a client book with repair and special-order status and texting in one place, GemReach fits, and the Free plan covers 2 associate seats and 50 texts a month. If you need full repair ticketing with intake, quotes and job status, RepairDesk from the same studio does that: repairdeskapp.net.
Questions
- Can GemReach track jewelry repairs?
- It tracks repairs and special orders as a status list against the client, from received to collected, with a one-tap "ready to collect" text.
- Does GemReach print repair tickets?
- No. It does not produce intake dockets or job envelopes. For full repair ticketing see RepairDesk at repairdeskapp.net.
- Is the ready-to-collect text free?
- It counts toward your monthly text allowance: 50 on Free, 750 on Starter, 3,000 on Pro. There are no per-message overage charges.
- Does it need the customer's consent?
- Yes. Clients need recorded consent before they can be texted, and STOP is honored instantly.
